Unique Configuration
Your new GC mainframe can be configured with the detectors, inlets and sample delivery options listed below.
If you are unsure of exactly what you need, don't worry. Everyone on our staff has years of hands on laboratory experience to help you select the best configuration for your specific application and budget.
FID - Flame Ionization Detector
Is the most commonly used detector in gas chromatography because of its dependability and universal ease of use. It detects practically any organic compounds while generating little to zero signal for common carrier gases.
uECD - micro Electron Capture Detector
Produces trace-level detection of halogenated organic compounds and aromatic pollutants
TCD - Thermal Conductivity Detector
Used for the GC analysis of permanent gases, light hydrocarbons, and compounds that do not respond well to a flame ionization detector (FID)
PID - Photo Ionization Detector
Selectively responds to aromatic and olefinic hydrocarbons in the presence of alkanes and other saturated hydrocarbons
FPD - Flame Photometric Detector
Used for sulfur and phosphorus
NPD - Nitrogen Phosphorus Detector
Is the most commonly used detector in gas chromatography because of its dependability and universal ease of use. It detects practically any organic compounds while generating little to zero signal for common carrier gases.
PDD - Pulsed Discharge Detector
The PDD is a selective detector for monitoring high electron affinity compounds such as freons, chlorinated pesticides, and other halogen compounds
MSD - Mass Selective Detector
Measures the mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) of one or more molecules present in a sample. These measurements can be used to calculate the exact molecular weight of the sample components
Triple Quadrupole TQ Mass Spec
A mass detection technology that can be adapted to a wide range of applications
Non Destructive Detectors
Such as TCD and PID can also be configured in tandem (or in series) with others to provide data from both detectors with a single injection

GC Inlets
Split/Splitless Inlet
Most widely-used inlet for gas chromatography
Cool On-Column Inlet
Ideal for thermally labile or unstable compounds
Purged Packed Inlet
Direct injection onto packed and wide-bore capillary columns
Multimode Inlet
(7890 & 8890) One inlet for large-volume, hot and cold split/splitless, pulsed split/splitles
PTV Inlet
Programmable temperature vaporizer combines the benefits of split/splitless and cool on-column
Volatiles Interface
Introduce gas samples into a GC from an external device
